Salary: £9,001 - £9,948 per annum (salary will be dependent on the National Living Wage) Post Ref: (phone number removed) Hours: 22½ per week (working days Monday, Wednesday & Friday) Base: King’s Lynn This is a temporary post to 31 August 2019 You will be required to take responsibilities and ensure that the delivery of the National Citizen Service programme meets the targets and requirements as set out in the delivery schedule which the College requires. This will include leading on the recruitment of young people; designing and delivering the NCS programme for each cohort and in that process inspire and enthuse young people to make a significant difference in themselves and their communities. Recruitment and engagement of young people is undertaken in the lead in to any of the 4 windows in which the programme is delivered (Autumn (October half term), Spring (Feb and Easter break) and Summer (5waves). The programme is broken down into 3 phases: Phase 1 – A residential, which will be at least one hour journey time from the young person’s home. The main focus will be on activities focused around teamwork and challenge. Phase 2 – A further residential, which will be held at a venue that is no further than one hours journey time from the young person’s home. The main focus for this phase is on developing news skills and gaining an increased understanding of the community. Phase 3 – Participants will design a Social Action Project, in consultation with the intended beneficiaries of the project. This is followed by the delivery of the Social Action Project and the graduation event. For this role you must have a Level 2 appropriate qualification e.g. Business and Administration. You must also have Level 2 English Maths (GCSE A*-C/4,9 or equivalent) or be willing to obtain them. You must also have experience of working with young people and data inputting.
