Recruitment Manager 12 Month Fixed Term Post (with potential for role to be extended) Role Location – Kent Wide Salary - £24,964 - £27,000 DOE The Recruitment Manager will be involved in managing all elements of volunteering: The role involves assessing and meeting our organisation's needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers. You'll manage volunteers and their relationships with those they come into contact with during the recruitment phases you’ll also monitor, evaluate, train and accredit volunteers. This is an important post requiring a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people and families. The post-holder must be a positive role model for the young people and the whole family. Relevant qualifications/training will be required and candidates will need to possess a variety of skills, experience and personal attributes. This role is predominantly filed based with office administration required on a daily basis – the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from the following offices for administration duties – Thanet, Maidstone, Sittingbourne and Gravesend A Mobile phone and laptop will be provided along with expenses paid Main Responsibilities * Liaise with departments to understand how they work, develop partnerships and assess their volunteering needs * Generate appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of the organisation * Raise staff awareness of the role and the function of volunteers * Ensure there is appropriate support and training for volunteers * Interview and recruit volunteers * Organise inductions and training * Monitor, support, motivate and accredit volunteers and their work * Offer advice and information to volunteers and external organisations * Organise profile-raising events to attract new volunteers * Attend committees and meetings * Manage budgets and resources * Keep up to date with legislation and policy * Maintain databases and undertake any other administrative duties. General Requirements * To develop and maintain effective liaison with referral agencies and with other professionals and practitioners * To represent the programme and/or the organisation at meetings, conferences, training events, and to give presentations and speeches * To work to an action plan, agreed with the Manager * To engage in a learning and development programme, agreed with the Manager * To take part in supervision and appraisal * To keep accurate records of any expenditure incurred and to ensure that such expenditure is within agreed limits and has been duly authorised * To uphold the values and adhere to the policies and procedures * Own car required for business travel purposes across Kent Person Specification Working in the charity sector – Desirable An understanding of Safeguarding procedures – ESSENTIAL Experience of presenting or public speaking using a variety of medias – ESSENTIAL Recruiting and supervising staff/volunteers – ESSENTIAL Effective liaison with other professionals – ESSENTIAL Giving guidance and support to volunteers in their mentoring roles – ESSENTIAL Effectively work with professionals involved in the role – ESSENTIAL To manage time and workload efficiently and effectively – ESSENTIAL To be able to communicate effectively – ESSENTIAL A high standard of presentation and media skills, and public speaking – ESSENTIAL Recognition of the importance of professional boundaries in terms of relationships, communication and conduct - ESSENTIAL Commitment to the delivery of all objectives - ESSENTIAL A high level of integrity, reliability and to be trustworthy - ESSENTIAL Ability to work outside of normal working hours on occasion - ESSENTIAL BENEFITS Mobile Phone & Laptop Expenses paid On-going in house training Yearly Conference 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Onsite parking included Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will need to go through DBS clearance Interpersonnel is assisting with the 1st stage of recruitment for this role.
