To provide specialist Recruitment advice, guidance and support to Line Managers through training workshops and recruitment briefings . To manage the recruitment processes and procedures within the team, to ensure that they are compliant with statutory regulations, employment legislation and ensure that it is as streamlined, user friendly and efficient as possible with deadlines consistently met. . To carefully, consistently and regularly monitor the content of the Single Central Register and Recruitment Checklist, taking immediate action to ensure that it is accurate and compliant with regulations. . To work closely with the HR Officer to establish recruitment best practice throughout the Foundation; ensure that is compliant with current employment legislation and prevailing statutory regulations for independent schools. . To be the main contact point for recruitment queries working closely with the HR Administrator (Recruitment) to ensure the Foundation’s recruitment needs, processes and queries are managed in a timely and consistent manner. . To ensure that all activities are carried out with a high level of professionalism, raising the credibility of the HR department and maintaining high levels of customer service.   Key responsibilities: Recruitment . To co-ordinate the end-to-end recruitment campaigns in consultation with line managers, including attending and advising at recruitment Briefings, writing adverts, Job Descriptions and Person Specifications, providing assistance at interview and shortlisting stages, supporting the pre-employment checks, writing contacts and offers of employment, delivering Child Protection training as and when required, and being involvement in other possible induction activities . To work with the HR Administrator to ensure that all recruitment tasks are completed to high standard Job Description and Person Specification Recruitment Coordinator (01/08/2018) . To monitor and record recruitment expenditure in liaison with the HR Officer; carrying out research for potential advertising campaigns and liaising with agencies accordingly to ensure appropriate advice is given to recruiting managers. . To monitor, support, and develop the recruitment administration processes, working closely with the HR Administrator (Recruitment), to ensure the process is robust and compliant, with all pre-employment checks completed in accordance with regulations.   . To carry out proactive tasks to ensure that the Foundation recruits and retains high quality appointments including working with the HR Officer to organise recruitment events, attending recruitment fairs, working with recruitment and advertising agencies, internal departments, researching and reporting on current candidate fields and ensure that activities are carried out in a cost effective way. . To monitor probationary periods for all new staff and make recommendations for future employment. Generalist HR Responsibilities . To support the Head of HR, HR Advisor and HR Officer as required. . To ensure that all staff records are compliant with Data Protection legislation and to manage the transition towards secure electronic records throughout the Foundation. . To support the HR department with administration including note taking duties. . To take a creative approach to recruitment, utilising social media and online advertising . To contribute towards the transition to electronic systems and processes i.e. HR system.   . To liaise with the HR Officer to develop and implement systems that ensure accurate recording of, and compliance with, employment law, safeguarding and other statutory regulations (e.g. Independent School Inspectorate) . To be aware of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and to report any concerns in accordance with the Foundation’s safeguarding policies. . To provide the HR Officer with support to gather statistical data for internal and external reports e.g. recruitment and turnover. . To support line managers in dealing with staff queries. . To support the HR team in general administration tasks to ensure the departments delivers on all service level agreements and required deadlines.   . To work with HR Officer and relevant departments to ensure that all contractors, self-employed and agency individuals working on Foundation sites are appropriately compliant with ISI and safeguarding regulations. Essential Criteria: Numerate and literate: minimum GCSE Maths & English Grades A*-C Experience/Knowledge: Experience of working within a busy Recruitment environment Experience of supporting high volume recruitment campaigns Experience of recruitment through social media Skills/Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of literacy Excellent attention to detail Ability to relate well with a wide range of staff and managers Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities Excellent ability to use Microsoft Office packages and confident IT skills. Resilient Innovative Creativity with recruitment Influencing and Persuasion skills – ability to utilise influencing and persuasion skills when dealing with resistant managers
