JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for delivering high quality teaching to learners on the Recruitment Resource and Recruitment Consultant apprenticeship standards. Working closely with both learners and employers, the post holder will use their teaching ability, coaching skills and innovative technologies to deliver exceptional training, helping learners and employers to achieve their objectives. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching and learning * Use the individual learning plan (ILP) to deliver learner-centric teaching that links directly to the learner’s personal goals, aspirations and motivations. * Use diagnostics, initial assessments, ILP(s) and similar tools/aids to determine the learner’s starting point allowing effective assessment of distance travelled following teaching and learning. * Embody the spirit of ‘lifelong learning’ during teaching, helping learners to understand the importance of ongoing learning beyond their programme of study. * Embed within teaching, 21st century skills including: digital literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability, flexibility and social/cross cultural interaction. * Support learners to develop key behavioural skills including: communication, time management, self-improvement and resilience. * Use schemes of work (SOW), lesson plans to prepare and deliver teaching and learning. * Deliver high quality teaching and learning adapted to different learning styles,preparing learners for on programme assessments and end point assessments (EPA) where applicable. * Utilise coaching and mentoring skills to support struggling or lagging learners. * Innovate and accelerate learning for high achievers, stretching the learning experience to help learners reach their potential. Assessing * Carry out regulatory assessments (and those required by the company management) for the programme of study in line with company, awarding body and/or awarding body requirements. * Ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures regarding assessment practice. * Conduct assessments in a timely manner, following established company guidelines of best practice or procedure. * Invigilate exams and other assessments, providing cover support for other tutors as required. English, maths and ICT * Embed English, maths and ICT in main aim delivery. * Deliver English, maths and ICT Functional Skills qualifications to learners who do not hold the required prior attainment. Qualifications * Assessing qualification – A1, CAVA, TAQA (D32/33 qualifications require CPD evidence to demonstrate ongoing assessing competence) * Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification * Minimum English and maths grade C/4 or Functional Skills * Level 2 in English and maths * Teaching qualification * Evidence of CPD Sector specific qualifications Experience/ Knowledge Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching and assessing apprenticeships in the sector area Experience using virtual learning systems Minimum 2 years’ occupational experience working in a recruitment role. Experience using utilising blended learning Able to demonstrate track record of successful teaching outcomes for learners. Classroom delivery Up to date understanding of the apprenticeship training market and reforms Good knowledge of apprenticeship framework/standard requirement Up to date knowledge of the subject sector area.
