Salary is circa £22/24K plus a per placement bonus Salary could be higher for candidates with extensive relevant experience Job Overview: The purpose of this role is to attract and recruit 16-23 year old candidates onto apprenticeship programmes against recruitment targets. You must have a strong admin background or resource experience Key Tasks & Accountabilities: People To interview potential candidates by telephone and face to face to determine their eligibility and suitability for the relevant Traineeship and apprenticeship opportunity – objectives are to complete a benchmark of 15 x telephone interviews to convert to 8 x face to face interviews, weekly. To ensure that selected applicants without a link to an employer are prepared for employment with high-quality CVs and Employability Skills. To support activity towards candidate and employer engagement, as required. To maintain regular contact with the Academy Manager / RAIM /Head of Apprentice Engagement regarding activity levels, candidate enquiries and progress against targets Active caseload management with Recruitment Executives within the business to ease the transition from applicant to apprentice of every candidate accepted. Delivery of Employability sessions within both Traineeship and Apprenticeship programmes. Quality To focus on how we deliver an excellent Apprenticeship experience for learners and their employers To ensure the apprentice recruitment process is followed To deliver Outstanding Information, Advice and Guidance to both internal and external customers and to meet this grade in Observations. Contracts To attend learner marketing and recruitment events Managing relationships with key suppliers, referral partners and organisations locally to generate the maximum number of candidate referrals wherever possible The role involves frequent evening work as many events held in schools or colleges tend to run outside of regular working hours Commercial Actively promote the Academy in the local community To assist in the development of Academy and programme marketing materials and methods of engagement To perform any Ad-hoc duties that the Company considers to be reasonable To be mindful of your personal safety and the safety of apprentices and colleagues Attend training courses to further your personal development and knowledge Key outcomes to be measured (KPIs): Role KPIs To quality check and send all vacancies to AV within 24 hours of receipt from RE. To complete all applicant CVs within 24 hrs of acceptance. A minimum of 5 new Apprenticeship 16-18 applicant offers to be made per week. A conversion rate of 40% applicant to placement ratio per week (2 placements made per week) Engagement Plan – must do a minimum of 2 engagement activities a week – 1 x immediate and 1 x planned (to support in generation of applicant numbers - this should be increased if application numbers are low and above KPIs are not being met). To work towards the following ratios against vacancies: 3:1 for IT, and 2:1 for each Professional Services programme. Daily Match and Fill meetings with RE and AM, if required, to ensure all applicants and vacancies are correctly matched and managed. To work with your Academy to achieve the profiled placements target – min 8 per calendar month To achieve 100% capacity in the academy. Traineeship Employability delivery to be completed as per Academy Targets. All documentation related to funding and audit requirements to be 100% compliant and timely. To deliver excellence in quality measured by Retention - >90% Success rates (timely) Success rates (overall) Apprentice survey outcomes Employer survey outcomes Centre KPIs Positive Apprentice relationships (reviews and Apprentice surveys) There will be a responsibility to keep CPD detail live and current For all staff to live the clients Vision, Mission and Values: Customer First, Excellence First and Integrity First Qualifications & Knowledge: Essential Proven business development abilities and experience of working in a target-driven environment Experience of presenting at various levels, particularly to young people Proven networking skills Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above Desirable Experience of working in sales or student recruitment teams Recruitment or sales background Knowledge of the FE industry Understanding of funding and registration for Apprenticeships Experience of working with education partners Experience of working with young people and offering advice and guidance Experience and knowledge of interviewing Skills Excellent interpersonal and networking skills Proven business development experience Influencing and negotiation skills IT Skills – MS Office Suite Qualities Proven ability to work independently Self-starter with strong organising abilities Ability to work in a pressurised environment Able to work flexible hours Communicates effectively with individuals and groups of all ages and experience A full, clean drivers licence, access to own vehicle with business insurance is essential
