Talent recognised for positive impact on the community
Talent has been named a recipient of the 2019 GoodCompany Top 20 Best Workplaces to Give Back in Australia award.
This award celebrates Talent’s positive social impact on the community through team volunteering, skilled volunteering, fundraising, donating, sponsorship, equal pay for equal work and diversity initiatives.
Talent founder and chairman, Richard Earl, said the award was a fantastic acknowledgement of what is a main focus of Talent.
He commented, “We have always been community focused and the team at Talent is committed to many corporate and social responsibility initiatives, but we are especially proud of the impact our charity Talent RISE is having on youth unemployment to create opportunities for young people to RISE up to their potential. Since beginning in 2014 Talent RISE has engaged more than 2,400 young people and placed over 170 into meaningful employment.”
Head of people and culture - APAC, April Marcot, said, “We are delighted to receive this award which recognises our ‘give a damn’ value. We work with our teams to create ways for them give back to the community some of these initiatives are; community volunteer paid leave, shared value strategy, equal pay for equal work commitments, diversity programs, recycling and our charity RISE.
