The Adecco Group Australia names CEO for One Month 2019
The Adecco Group Australia received over 5,500 applications for the 2019 CEO for One Month program with the winner being crowned yesterday at the Melbourne head office.
John Huang, a final year Business student from the University of Technology Sydney was announced as the winner after an intense and highly competitive final bootcamp from five other finalists.
Adecco says that Huang’s infectious energy, innovative mindset and his strong business acumen was what put him above the rest. He is the founder of Bing’s Academy, a private 1-on-1 tutoring start-up that helps students improve their grades. He was also the winner of the 2019 Australian Financial Review Top 100 Future Leaders Award. Huang is also a career ambassador at his university to help students improve their employability.
The Adecco Group CEO, Rafael Moyano, said, “Throughout the process, John has shown passion, entrepreneurial spirit and team work, all of which are core values for The Adecco Group. He will be an asset to our organisation and I am excited to start working with him.
“The amount of young talent we saw come through this year’s program was inspiring. All six finalists had amazing skills, it was a tough decision for our judges this year”.
Huang (pictured) added, “This is such an amazing experience, I am so excited to work alongside Rafael Moyano, learn what it takes to be CEO and work with the team at The Adecco Group Australia.”
Huang will now shadow Moyano during the month of July, before being considered for the Global CEO for One Month position shadowing The Adecco Group Global CEO, Alain Dehaze.
Globally the program attracted over 250,000 applications with 47 countries each having a CEO for One Month. 10 countries will be shortlisted as finalists in September.
The CEO for One Month program is designed to give young people the hands-on work experience they need to build their careers – offering ‘real-world’ training that cannot be gained in school or university.
