APSCo Australia appoints executive committee 2018

APSCo Australia has re-instated the executive committee to work closely with the secretariat, the emerging interest groups and the soon to announced jurisdictional committees that will now form the voice of the Association.

Jason Trevethick, managing executive of Paxus IT Recruitment, was appointed as the chair of APSCo in Australia and will also be the director to join APSCo Australia managing director, Julie Mills, on the global board. Two vice chairs have also been appointed: Bronwyn Murphy, director of quality and compliance Australasia at Medacs Global Group, and Stephen Smith, CEO/managing director of Sirius People, to ensure depth of representation across emerging sectors in the Membership and strong succession planning.

Mills commented, “APSCo Australia’s rapidly diversifying Membership base required careful consideration in appointing the leaders of the Association for the next crucial period of change and development.

“The Association has invested heavily in ensuring the APSCo brand is gaining strength across regulators, clients and candidates – and it is now time to deliver on our promise of a focussed voice for the professional staffing sector and the contracting market," Mills went on to say.

APSCo says that the demonising of the sector, from within and without, must be countered with strong leadership, a voice based on belief in what we do and, most importantly a Membership that delivers on its promise of quality and service to clients and contractors alike. The investment and efforts of the ITCRA founders, of the retiring leadership group and of the enthusiastic directors who have returned for a second term or who have been elected to take the Association forward, as well as the support of the APSCo global directors, ensures that APSCo Australia’s foundation is strong heading into the next decade.
