Year ahead looks strong for those with robust talent pools, says APSCo
Both new and repeat business were responsible for driving a strong end to the 2017 final quarter according to the latest APSCo Professional Staffing Trends December 2017 report.
The participating companies showed a buoyant market with many clients renewing contractor agreements and hiring for permanent roles.
While national recruitment firms enjoyed increased activity, the market as a whole is showing signs of a positive year ahead for 2018, with those companies rich in talent pools ready to take advantage.
Julie Mills, managing director of APSCo Australia, commented, “There’s significant ground to be gained for those firms that have available talent. They will be ready to respond to what appears to be a confident market and nimble enough to meet market changes in a rapidly evolving skills market.
“Despite recent regulatory changes, members across all of Australia are telling us the year has kicked off to a strong start. Steady growth across Australian businesses is resulting in a confident market with hiring expectations looking positive.”
