Turnover up 60% YoY in December for Driver Hire Australia
The Australian arm of Driver Hire is celebrating outstanding trading in the run-up to Christmas. Its four-office network has delivered year-on-year growth of 60% in December, with network turnover of AUS$ 2.62m (£1.51m). As part of that, its Brisbane office recorded turnover of AUS$ 202k (£116k) in a single week – an all-time record not only for Driver Hire Australia, but for Driver Hire as a whole.
Chis Chidley (pictured), Driver Hire’s chief executive, said, “This is a fantastic performance by our colleagues in Australia. Just as we are finding here in the UK, December sees strong demand for transport and logistics professionals. Of course, what is particularly impressive is that Driver Hire Australia only opened its doors for business in 2012. To achieve this level of growth in such a short space of time is remarkable. Dean Hewitt, our Australian Managing Director, and his team can be very proud of themselves.”
Dean Hewitt, group director and founder of Driver Hire Australia, added, “From day one, the Driver Hire brand has transferred well to the Australian market. Our ability to deliver the right people along with a highly compliant 24/7, 365 days a year service has set us in good stead. That is being reflected with strong trading, not just at our record breaking Brisbane office, but right across our Australian network.”
