APSCo Australia’s iSafe program set to expand
APSCo Australia, which developed the iSafe program, a benchmark site and safety risk assessment program for workplaces that predominantly represent professionals, has now been asked to consider developing the solution across other workplaces.
Julie Mills, managing director of APSCo Australia, said, “In the month dedicated to Safety at Work, this is a market driven recognition of the strength of the program – as well as its evolution into more than site visits.
“It is important to remember that iSafe began as an ITCRA driven unique collaboration between professional staffing companies and their clients to deliver a consultative WHS risk assessment program in response to legislative changes.
“Because of the demand from companies outside APSCo Australia’s remit, the program is now managed by Service Excellence Consulting – and every company involved demonstrates the highest level of commitment to the notion that everyone has a right to a safe work environment.
“To have clients and companies who are not part of the APSCo Australia membership wanting to participate, is testament to the outstanding work undertaken by the Service Excellence team of WHS consultants and to the value that this sector places on safety in the workplace.
“Too often this sector is viewed negatively when workplace management issues are discussed. It is so important, in this month dedicated to workplace safety, to acknowledge the vision and commitment of the founding companies and their leadership teams, as well as the sponsors, who wanted to ensure they were compliant under new legislation and, more importantly were prepared to invest heavily in setting a path for an industry benchmark that others aspire to.”
