RCSA appoints CEO
The RCSA (Recruitment & Consulting Services Association) has appointed Charles Cameron to the role of association CEO.
Cameron is currently a partner within FCB Group and in 2002 founded Australia’s first workforce management consulting firm specialising in non-traditional working arrangements, which he later merged with FCB Group. The RCSA says he has worked closely with it as a policy and issues management advisor, and has represented the sector and its members to Government and industry in numerous forums and inquiries. He also brings significant industry body experience from his time with Australian Industry Group.
RCSA acting president, Peter Langford, FRCSA, said, “Charles has been a passionate advocate for the employment services industry for many years, and this presented the RCSA Board with a compelling and very exciting opportunity to take the association forward and to define its role in the rapidly changing world of work.”
Cameron said, “This is a very exciting period for the industry. We have a unique opportunity to capture and articulate the increasingly important role of the professional labour market intermediary, especially at this time when relentless change is redefining how businesses source and manage workers.
“Labour market intermediaries are in the people industry, and increasingly clients, candidates and stakeholders are looking to RCSA members for intuitive solutions that balance the protection of worker rights with the promotion of flexibility and innovation. This expertise will define the value and integrity of our industry and, in turn, determine the willingness of Government, industry and stakeholders to engage with RCSA as a point of influence and opinion.
“I look forward to capturing, and promoting, the expert knowledge and innovative thinking of RCSA members to bring new ideas and practical solutions to new economy challenges which impact upon all of our lives.”
Cameron will commence the role on 4th May.
